the boat lullabies
I found this cool post on The Boat Lullabies, it made me think about how different photography is now that everyone uses digital. It’s too easy to delete a photo you don’t like, and in retrospect, sometimes those are the ones that are the most interesting.
legs?
I have no idea what this photo series is for, because I found it on a non-english site. All I can tell is that it MAY be for a magazine called “For Him”. I liked it because the colors were vibrant, it was a bit strange, and of course, look at all the long model-y legs. Check out my favorites below:
light-writing on lookbook
I like when I come across cool photos like this on lookbook, something different, you know? You can find cool photography anywhere. Yay internet!

10 year old expired 120 film, holga
I love everything about this photo:

grunge photography
I came across this post called 100 Striking Examples of Grunge Photography on websdesignerdepot.com, and I had to check it out because I wasn’t quite sure what “grunge photography” was. Turns out, it’s pretty cool. You have to check out the list, there’s a bunch of awesome images. I love that distressed, dirty, faded look. Check out some of my faves:

hair
I’ve been all over flickr lately. There are just so many great photos if you take some times to look. Here’s one of my favourites from today by flickr user Ponygraph. It’s a cool idea, it makes me want to try out the same thing on myself.

gangs
One thing I love about flickr is that you get to see the strangest photo sets that people have collected. I randomly came across this one called Gangs and thought it was amazing. Check out some of the photos in it and visit photobomba’s huge collection of weird and vintage photo sets.

the wife of the voyager
Usually I’m not too into digital compilation photos, but I liked this one. It tells a story and even though it’s clearly a comp, and usually I find that distracting, I thought it was done well. It’s by =Stephano83 from deviantart.

the big picture
The Big Picture is a section on the Boston Globe website that tells the news through large photographs. Simple concept, but it hasn’t really been done before on a newspaper website. Often photos on other news sites are so small, or watermarked, I find myself wanting to see more. It’s also a great way to showcase how talented and skilled photojournalists can be, and how photojournalist photography really is an art. Here are some recent samples from The Big Picture, but since it’s a news site, go back frequently and check out the new content:

afternoon, monday
Walking around the city you live in and taking photos is a great way to spend an afternoon. It may seem familiar to you, but to someone else it could be an exotic and interesting place. I like seeing a city through someone else’s eyes.
